Hail Alley is real

The Front Range sits in the part of the country meteorologists call Hail Alley. Summer storms build over the foothills in the afternoon, roll east across the metro, and can shred one neighborhood while the next one over barely gets wet.

If a storm came through your part of Centennial, Aurora or Parker, have someone look before small damage turns into a leak. Hail damage rarely drips on day one. It shortens the life of the shingles and shows up as a leak a season or two later.

Storm Damage

Signs your roof took damage

01Bruised shingles
Hail knocks granules loose and leaves soft, dark spots that age fast in the sun.
02Granules in the gutters
A pile of sand-like grit at the bottom of a downspout means your shingles are shedding their protection.
03Dents on metal
Check gutters, downspouts, roof vents and window wraps. If the metal is dented, the shingles took hits too.
04Lifted or missing tabs
Wind gets under a loose shingle and creases it. Once the seal breaks, the next storm can peel it off.
05New water stains
A fresh stain on a ceiling after a storm means water has already found a way in.

How a free storm inspection works

We get on the roof, go slope by slope and show you what we found. Real damage gets a written estimate for the repair or replacement that you can share with your insurance company. No damage? Then that's what you hear, and the visit costs you nothing.

Filing a claim is your decision. Policies have deadlines for reporting storm damage, so check yours and don't let it sit.

Colorado

Colorado law protects homeowners

Colorado's roofing contractor law gives you real protection. A roofer can't offer to pay or waive your insurance deductible. Roofing contracts have to be in writing. And if your insurance claim is denied, you can cancel a roofing contract within 72 hours of getting that notice. Be wary of anyone knocking on doors after a storm who says otherwise.

Questions

Storm Damage FAQ

Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?

Many homeowners call a roofer first so they know whether there's damage worth reporting. Our inspection is free and doesn't commit you to anything.

How soon after a storm should I get my roof checked?

As soon as it's safe to get on the roof. Bruised shingles break down faster than healthy ones, and insurance policies have filing deadlines.

What if the inspection finds nothing?

Then you know your roof came through fine, and you didn't pay anything to find out.

I want to thank Axel Roofing Construction LLC and especially Jose Cruz for the excellent work on my roof and gutter installation. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and paid close attention to every detail.

The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and everything was installed perfectly and left clean when the job was completed. You can truly see their experience and commitment to customer satisfaction.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for high-quality roofing and gutter services. Excellent service from beginning to end!
