Highlands Ranch was planned from scratch starting in the early 1980s and built out over the decades since, so its neighborhoods show 40 years of suburban building. The northern neighborhoods are the oldest, with homes from the 1980s and 1990s that are often on their second roof. Farther south, near the Backcountry Wilderness Area, newer subdivisions have bigger homes and more complicated rooflines.
It's also home to the Highlands Ranch Mansion, four community recreation centers and miles of trails. From our base in Fox Hill, it's about half an hour.

Exterior changes in Highlands Ranch go through the Highlands Ranch Community Association, and a change in roof color or material is one of them. Check with the HRCA on what needs approval for your home. We can give you the manufacturer product sheets for the application.
