Why homeowners here look at metal
Metal roofs handle what Colorado throws at a roof. Snow slides off instead of sitting for days. Panels don't lose granules in the sun or curl in the cold. Many products carry high impact ratings, which matters in hail country, and a properly installed metal roof can last for decades.
Metal isn't the right answer for every house. It costs more up front than asphalt shingles, hail can leave cosmetic dents in softer panels, and some HOAs restrict it. We go through the tradeoffs honestly at the estimate so you can decide.

Where metal makes sense
- 01Whole-house roofs
- A full metal roof on a home, with matching trim, flashing and ridge.
- 02Low-slope sections
- Standing seam can run on lower pitches than shingles can handle, which helps on porches and additions.
- 03Accent roofs
- Bay windows, porch roofs and entry overhangs in metal against a shingle main roof.
- 04Garages and outbuildings
- Detached garages, shops and sheds.
Standing seam or exposed fastener
Standing seam panels lock together over hidden clips, so no screws go through the face of the roof. It's the cleaner look and the better long-term choice for a house.
Exposed-fastener panels are screwed through the face with sealing washers. They cost less and work well on sheds, shops and barns, but those washers need checking as they age.
Before you choose metal
Check your HOA's architectural guidelines first. Many south metro communities require approval for a change in roofing material. Talk to your insurance agent too, since some companies treat impact-rated metal differently when they set your premium. We can provide product information for both conversations.

Questions
Metal Roofing FAQ
Is a metal roof loud in rain or hail?
Not over a solid deck with underlayment, which is how residential metal roofs go on. Most people hear about the same as they would under shingles.
Can metal go over my existing shingles?
Some systems allow it, but tearing off first lets us inspect the deck and start the new roof on solid wood.
Jose is amazing! We had another guy who cancelled on us three times so we reached out to Jose.
So efficient with scheduling, he turned up when he said he would and was very knowledgeable about our roof.
He went over and above to fix our roof tile plus some extras and didn’t try to oversell us.
To top it off he was super friendly too!
